Welcome to In Focus Publishing International, a boutique publisher catering to artists and collectors of fine photography. As a publisher we value the craftsmanship of reproducing fine artwork in a book. We work directly with the artist to ensure their vision is maintained and reflected in the final product. The end result is a beautiful book of fine photography which clearly conveys the style and beauty of the artists work at its very best. Whether you are creating an unlimited or limited edition book one thing remains the same, the quality of the publishing, each book is produced on state of the art presses with careful attention to quality control and colour standards. Each book is a viewing pleasure, each turn of the page unfolding another photographic feast for the senses.
In focus Publishing is unique in that we do not seek to mass market books, we are focused on two markets:
1. Our basic level of publishing that allows for a traditional, general consumable end product offering unlimited print editions to the general public and book stores. Here we create books in an A4 format that are perfect bound with a hard cover and a protective dust jacket. Because each book takes time to produce, we limit ourselves to the number of artists and books each year possibly only ever working with 4 in a year. In this way we ensure the calibre of the end product, technically and visually is second to none and something that anyone would be proud to own.
2. Our premier level of publishing is where the craftsmanship of book making is taken to the absolute highest calibre. These limited edition books are hand stitched and bound, encased in leather with embossing, decorative end sheets, and come in a custom made box to store the book in. They also come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the author. The books are an A3 format and with every turn of the page a new, superbly reproduced photograph is exposed that will delight and tempt the senses of the viewer. To hold one of these books and turn the page is truly a luxurious and tactile viewing experience, as well as having the benefit of being a highly valuable collectors item due to the limited number of each book ever produced. Only a handful of very gifted artists are chosen each year for our premier limited edition collectors books.
Whether you are seeking an unlimited edition or limited edition collectors item to either purchase or to have published, one thing remains the same, the quality of the publishing and the product that you will receive. Each book is produced on state-of-the-art presses with careful attention to quality control and colour standards. All current books may be purchased through our website.
Submissions
If you are interested in having your photographic work considered for publishing, please email us with your name and full contact details including a link to a website where a portfolio of your work may be reviewed along with a CV/Resume. If we believe your work is of the right calibre for a book, we will contact you at that time to review your portfolio in greater depth and discuss the next steps required to turn your aspirations for a book into reality.
Unfortunately we do not accept original art or preview a portfolio in printed format. If you do not have a website where your work may be initially reviewed please contact us to make alternative arrangements.
We do our best to repond to all enquiries as quickly as possible, however please understand that we have a large number of submissions at any given time and hence our reponse may not be immediate but we will always endeavour to get back to you within 14 days of receiving your submission request.
